I found several pages of visual details ranging from the trees themselves to wildflowers and undergrowth. It helps spur new ideas and helps your writing from becoming stagnant and repetitive (just like having a regular thesaurus does for your word choice). You could feel a specific bias behind some of the entries.

This book is extremely generous in its quantity of different settings. The Rural Setting Thesaurus (and its companions, which include The Urban Setting Thesaurus among many others) 'shows' you how to write. Maybe one of the most important because settings are so often overlooked.

I must admit I was expecting a much more in depth sort of book and this text does not come up to my expectations.I don't think I shall waste time and money in buying others from the series.

In addition to that, the Setting Description Example really makes me want to write setting THAT well; it helps form a goal for me by showing me how it can be done.
